After several unsatisfying careers (Vogue Magazine, computer programming & software development), I followed my lifelong interest in the human mind and heart and obtained a Masters in Counseling Psychology at Lesley College in Cambridge, Ma. in 1989. I obtained further training at two Harvard Medical School/Department of Psychiatry programs: The Center for Addiction Studies and The Couples and Family Center. After moving to California, I worked at a Psychiatric Hospital and a Drug and Alcohol Inpatient Facility while gaining experience toward licensure. I became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 1995. Among the most rewarding aspects of my private practice were running long-term women’s groups, leading women’s groups in nature and taking referrals from the Veterans’ Administration focussed on healing vets from PTSD.
I have seriously practiced meditation and studied Tibetan Buddhism since 1980. I am a certified meditation instructor and yoga teacher. My hope is to be of service to anyone interested in healing the past and developing further awareness of how to flourish in the present.

Kelly’s death led me to Sadie and now to you, I do hope.
